Why Organic
According to the USDA, US Department of Agriculture's NOP Standards, National Organic Program: "Organic food is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations... Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation.
Kopali Organics' products are certified organic. This means a Government-approved certifier has inspected each and every farm where the food is grown, as well as each and every producer and company that processes it, to make sure they are following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards.
USDA certification is an incredibly important step, however we are committed to going even beyond organic certification, to support the most sustainable agricultural practices possible.
