Stephen Brooks

Co-founder / Permaculture Farmer

Stephen is an expert in tropical and native food. While living in Costa Rica for 10 years, Stephen developed a deep knowledge of the local AfroCaribbean, indigenous and Latin cultures as well as a deep respect for and understanding of the environment. Before Kopali, Stephen developed two family owned businesses, Costa Rican Adventures and The Punta Mona Center for Sustainability and Education. Creating and living at Punta Mona, Stephen acquired extensive experience in permaculture, organic and raw food projects. These experiences give him a unique perspective on addressing the complexities of identifying and vetting and developing food products and agriculture in these regions and around the world. Stephen focuses a great deal on land development and is a Co founder of Kopali Communities, an eco sustainable development and planned community in Costa Rica. Stephen is also a charismatic educator and entertainer, and is the host of Edible Adventures, a television show aired on The Travel Channel.
