Marcela Reyes

Operations Manager

Marcela Reyes was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Trade in 2003; she graduated with honors (First place in the Academic List). During college she worked with small and medium size handcraft businesses to define strategies to introduce their products to foreign target markets. Prior to the completion of her bachelor’s degree, Marcela worked in the Strategy and Special Projects Department of the National Coffee Growers Association, in Colombia. Through this experience Marcela acquired knowledge of organic products and environmental practices.

Marcela moved to Miami in 2004 to begin her graduate studies. She completed her MBA from Florida International University in June 2005. Upon graduation she started working with Kopali Communities and Kopali Organics to offer operational, financial and management support to the team. Marcela has worked in different functional areas through the last two years, market research (LOHAS, green building and organic industry), financial (pro-forma projections, budgeting, reporting, pricing, cost estimates), project management, product development and logistics.
