Eco Bus Tour

A few years ago we traveled, twice, from California all the way to Costa Rica, through Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua, on buses that we converted to run on spent vegetable oil. We took these buses, running on fuel coming right from kitchen fryers, to meet with farmers, ministers of Agriculture, scientists, activists, political and business leaders, and members of the press.

By the time Kopali Organics was born we had converted another bus, named Kokopali, to also run on spent veggie oil, and to serve as an ecological showroom on wheels. We went on tour, living on the bus, bringing with us stories, music, product demos and a whole array of sustainable living solutions.

We invited others to join us in this journey, and are now leading the Conscious Goods Alliance of companies committed to sustainability, carried by our bus Kokopali, on a permanent national tour visiting Whole Foods Market and Wild Oats stores, farmers markets, schools, special events, and more.
